Hello there! My name is Amy, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) based in DTLA.
Born in Seoul and raised in Chicago, I have experienced living in London, Sydney, and Los Angeles over the past decade. I bring a multicultural perspective to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and help them gain deeper insight of issues dealing with control, validation, self-expression, trauma, and cultural assimilation. I am curious about discovering who you are — your quirks, values, preferences, and alternative lifestyle choices, especially when they go against the grain of societal norms.
I provide traditional talk therapy and draw from psychodynamic, strength-focused, Gestalt, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other evidence-based modalities. I also offer a progressive form of therapy such as Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for those who are adventurous in expanding their ways of thinking and behavior.
