Therapy is a space to say the things you have not felt able to say anywhere else. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and high-functioning on the outside, but privately feel stuck in painful patterns, shame, or aspects of themselves they have learned to keep hidden. The burden of hiding parts of yourself can be lonely, and I strive to create a relationship where honesty and connection feel more within reach. I work especially well with creatives and entertainment professionals, men who feel cut off from their emotions or unsure how to express them, and people caught in compulsive patterns or coping strategies that no longer work.
My approach is psychodynamic, relational, and guided by an existential interest in what gives a person’s life meaning and depth. I believe that relief can come from having a place to slow down, think together, and question what has become automatic so that life feels less constrained by old ways of being. I am especially interested in attachment and the ways relational dynamics shape our lives. Whether you come to therapy with a clear struggle or simply with a vague sense that something is off, the work can help bring clarity and direction to the parts of life that may have come to feel unsatisfying.
I work with adults, teens, and couples. Before becoming a therapist, I spent ten years working in television, and I understand many of the pressures, anxieties, and identity struggles that can come with creative work and life in the entertainment industry. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles and trained at the Maple Counseling Center, where I received specialized training in psychodynamic therapy with couples, process groups, and adult individuals. I also work in a treatment setting with adolescents and young adults coping with acute OCD, trauma, and depression, and I have experience in addiction treatment settings. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so that we can briefly get to know each other and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
